日前，瑞典鋼鐵公司（SSAB）推出新一代Hardox系列耐磨鋼Hardox 500 Tuf。新鋼種具有優異的強度、硬度和韌性。與Har dox 450和Hardox 500相比，Hardox 500 Tuf具有前二者最佳的性能組合，極具市場競爭力。
Hardox 500 Tuf因其足夠的硬度可作為結構材料用于重型自卸車車廂、集裝箱、入料器等，同時，超強的耐磨和抗凹陷性使得Hardox 500 Tuf得以提高設備使用壽命和承重能力。
基于與花崗巖接觸的滑動磨損的WearCal c和TippCal c計算結果表明，Hardox 500 Tuf較Hardox 400的服役壽命顯著提高85%-100%。
Hardox 500 Tuf可適應高強度的惡劣工作環境，包括在采石場和礦山對沉重而鋒利的巖石進行裝載和卸載，處理大型和重型廢鋼，拆卸建筑物的鋼筋混凝土構件并投放到翻斗車中。
Hardox 500 Tuf在-20℃的允許沖擊值為27J，-40℃的典型沖擊功為45J，并具有非常狹窄的布氏硬度窗口。
